The Wild West: Baobabs, Tsingy & Untamed Landscapes

The adventure begins with a flight from Antananarivo to Morondava, gateway to Madagascar’s spectacular western wilderness. Travel through the surreal landscape of the Avenue of the Baobabs, where ancient baobab giants rise above the savannah — one of the most iconic sights in Africa.
Continue to Kirindy Forest Reserve, one of the best places to spot Madagascar’s elusive top predator, the Fossa, along with nocturnal lemurs and endemic wildlife.
The journey then leads north to the extraordinary Tsingy de Bemaraha National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its dramatic limestone pinnacles. Explore both the Grand Tsingy circuit and the spectacular Manambolo Gorge, revealing one of the planet’s most unique geological landscapes.
Return to Morondava for a final sunset among the towering baobabs before flying back to Antananarivo.

Into the Rainforest: Lemurs & Living Biodiversity

From the highlands, the journey continues east to Andasibe-Mantadia National Park, one of the country’s most famous wildlife sanctuaries.
Here, travelers can encounter the remarkable Indri indri, whose haunting calls echo through the rainforest canopy, along with several species of diurnal lemurs, chameleons, and endemic birds.
The adventure can continue further east to the peaceful lakeside reserve of Akanin'ny Nofy, meaning “Nest of Dreams.” This secluded peninsula offers the rare opportunity to track one of Madagascar’s most mysterious creatures — the nocturnal Aye-aye.
The journey concludes back in Antananarivo, completing an unforgettable exploration of Madagascar’s wildlife treasures.

For the Adventurous: River Journeys & Remote Landscapes

For travelers seeking deeper immersion and authentic adventure, an alternative route begins with a scenic drive from Antananarivo through the beautiful highland landscapes to Antsirabe, offering opportunities to interact with local communities and markets. Continue toward Miandrivazo, the starting point of the legendary Tsiribihina River descent.
Drift through Madagascar’s western wilderness on a two-day river expedition — either by traditional dugout canoe for a peaceful, authentic experience, or by motorboat for added comfort. Nights are spent camping on quiet sandbanks under vast star-filled skies.
The adventure culminates with visits to the Tsingy de Bemaraha, sunset photography along the Avenue of the Baobabs, and a cultural excursion to the Vezo fishing village of Betania.
